Hi,
I'm wondering if my Navi screen has a defect with the day/night/auto setup.

Under <Setup>, with the display setting set to Auto, my navi display does not toggle between light and dark backgrounds with my headlights being off or on respectively.

Isnt the 'Auto' setting supposed to automatically adjust for night time driving?

The only way I can get the black background is by manually selecting <Night> as the option. Its a pain the next morning as I need to set it back to <Day>.

Any fix for this? Did I miss something? Thanks!

 

Make sure you don't have the brightness on the max setting. On your dash there is a button that says max. If you choose the max setting the auto feature will not work. The screen remains in the 'day' mode. Hit the minus once, making sure in the set up you have chosen auto, then turn yur headlights on and the screen should be in the night mode.
