Dash/Radio Mount for Tablet?
Dash/Radio Mount for Tablet?
As a previous ‘05 ABP/C NAVI MT TL owner who lost his car one night to a flooding lake, I’ve been looking for an exact replacement for about a year and a half now. Going to see a an all-but exact ’04, about 140k on it and no nav, but otherwise great shape and under $10k.
Assuming everything works out mechanically etc, I’m thinking of getting a high end tablet to sit over the radio/accessory buttons, but need to find the right mount. Hopefully something that would have arms underneath and on the sides of the landscape-sitting tablet, about an inch or two in front of the radio screen. I’m thinking it should fit between the hazards and the CD slot and hopefully not cover the silver trim as it tapers off, but will take measurements to check in the next few days.
Does anyone know of such a mount? Which I could hopefully attach to the dash without giant screwholes?

Any thoughts on this? I've seen this thread, but not exactly what I'm trying to do...

Like most people said in that thread....don't do it. Drilling and screwing hooks into your display and HU.......That is just wrong.
I was looking and would have gone with one of the no drill goosenecks with a holder made for the iPad2.
I've since then decided to put a mac mini in the trunk and a new display up front.
