So, I finally went to a shop and I gotta confess that I was expecting to pay more then $500 for the customization...
Then the guy said that It can be done for less then $200.
But, to install the WHOLE thing, suck as:
- amp
- stereo
- steering wheel controls + nav
- sub box
- backup camera
- capacitor

It would be $500 + $200 (customization) = $700


Now I just have to save some money (wont take my girlfriend out for a while.. ) to buy everything and start the process.

Anyway, what do you guys think about the price?

What exactly are they "customizing"? What generation is your TL? What kind of equipment are they planning on putting in the car? Make sure the shop legit...hopefully not some typical place that swears by JL.

 

This is what I want... I want something really simple, good and fits in my budget.


(I already have an old kenwood 300 RMS amp. I want to use it just for now. Ill upgrade it later)

i paid $200 for the dash custimazation and a little more for carbon fiber finish but it was worth it. check out the install pics done by Xtreme Autosound in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. They have a video on Yelp.

It seemed like a lot of people want to know where to get it done. I paid 500.00 and they installed my steering wheel control interface, backup camera 2 amps, the carbon fiber finish and ran my ipod cable in my center console. Later they gave me a deal on the custom box. The lest I can do is help their shop get the word out about their work. I wash surprised they treated me with respect especially since i was a girl all the other shop tried to charge me double.

 

you should tell them to become a vendor and sell the kit.

 

I tried letting the owner know. It's a small shop but good guys. I'm trying to help them out since they did a good job and were very cheap. Most shop wanted to rip me off because i'm a girl. Every quote was double and were jerks.
