I had a couple questions regarding the navi and modding it.

1. I bought a used TLS and didn't receive a navigation CD. Can I buy one off ebay or something and if yes, what kind do I need because I saw that there are different versions.

2. If we mod the navigation does that void any type of warranty?

1. where did you get your TLS? from the dealership? If so, then they should provide one.

If not, then you could either wait till October for 2011 MAPS, or buy 2010 at a discount price from Alpine, current list price is US$ 185.

If you have TL-S 2007/2008, then your DVD should be White 4.81

2. Any mod will void warranty, may I know what kind of Nav mod are you planning?

I did get it from a dealership but it didn't have the CD. I didn't know we were supposed to get a CD till later. I'm not exactly sure, I was just reading through the sticky thread with all the mods and was curious if any of them would void warranty.

 

If you got your TLS, then go back to the dealership and ask them to provide one free of charge.

If you want to pay out of your own pocket, then I'll suggest you to hold it till October, that's when Alpine release new Maps...
