Constant low static noise on every Radio Setting

So I have a 2004 TL that has started making a low, almost static noise (or white noise) from the radio.

Basically, any time the motor and the radio is on at volume 1 or higher, there is this noise. XM, FM, CD, it doesn't matter. The noise does not increase in volume as I turn the radio up, so I can drown it out. However it is annoying when listening to soft music.

If the motor is off and just "accessories" is on the noise doesn't happen. Or if the motor is on but the radio is either off, or turned to volume 0 it doesn't do it.

This leads me to believe it might be some kind of interference with something that is only on when the motor is on. (DC outlet?).

Any advice?

Car is under warranty, but they looked at it and couldn't tell what it was from. They are "researching" this right now to see if they can replace the radio, but have yet to call me back. I am curious if it is something that is just labor, if I could just fix it myself.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I was thinking that or a ground issue.

I suppose I will let the dealership tackle this then. Thanks!

I am having this issue and an Acura tech isolated it to the amp. Similar to this thread https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/radio-handsfree-link-cd-player-noise-static-buzzing-802098/ - so if you come across this thread, this is a likely scenario. If you only experience it when using the HFL, there is a TSB on how to cut a ground wire on the wiring harness to the HFL to get ride of the noise, but in my case the noise is present on all sources when the engine is running.

Confirmed: Amp was the problem

I bought a used OEM amp and replaced mine, and this indeed fixed the issue.
