i recently downloaded some DVD Audio,5.1 and SACD off a site and burned them to CD'S using IMGBurn . All but the SACD play in my regular DVD player and sound great. When I try to play in my 08 TL I get a FORMAT error. Any one have any ideas. I am a newbie to all this so please be patient.

 

Some DVD-A is "watermarked". There is code embedded in the original wav files. If the player does not see that code every 15 - 30 seconds the disk will stop playing an show "Format". This will occur if you're downloading/burning Image files.

If you're burning wav/flac files directly, that won't work. They have to be authored to DVD-A format first. Check out Cilinca Solo, Disk Welder or Wave Lab as authoring software. And you still may run into watermark issues.

A number of players ignore the watermark, but the TL head unit does not.
