Comptech Sway Review - 6MT

Note to rets: I apologize for posting in the general forum. I was hoping more people would be informed by my review of the Comptech swaybar on a 6MT.

All:
I just got back from the install of my rear sway bar. I was concerned whether I would feel anything because the Comptech is just nominally thicker than the 6MT’s standard sway.

However, once I started driving (mind you, I have JUST gotten it installed, so I only drove it for about 40 minutes to work) it did feel different. I’m not going to state that it was a huge difference in the natural feel of the TL. Rather it felt more dialed in during turns.

I thought it was more stable, and exhibited slightly less body roll. This was more of a subtle change for my car. I don’t believe that a person who has just briefly driven the 6MT TL would notice the change, but I do considering I’ve driven it for 7400 miles.

Conclusion: I guess the question comes down to, is it worth it? All the 5AT owners on this site, give it two thumbs up. For the 6MT owners, I think it is worth it but only on a subtle scale, if you are looking for a huge difference you will be disappointed. However, if you want a more planted ride, with a slightly more neutral turn-in, go for it. I’ll post more about it once I drive the car some more.

Thanks to the above reviewers, dlouly47 and mstyle for posting their experiences. You guys just about "forced" me to try it. Hope this helps.
