Compiling an Official List of Bluetooth Phones Compatible with HFL
Company/Model of the phone: Nokia 6102i
Firmware Version: Unknown - just got the phone today
Is this phone an OEM version or a provider customized version? Provider customized
Does your phone automatically pair?: No - see comment
What shows up on the MID: No signal strength, no battery, incoming call id does show up on the MID
Service Provider: Cingular
Geographical Location: Atlanta, where the ballers ball, the players play, and the parties go on until 8 in the morning
What is your RF/signal strength like? Generally 3 - 4 bars (out of 4). Only had the phone for 8 hours, so far. Beats the crap out of T-Mobile, where 2 bars out of five was a banner day.
Pairing: This was more difficult than the Motorola v330 I used to own. The trick is to put the HFL into pairing mode, enter the PIN, say yes, and then go to Menu > Settings > Communications > Bluetooth > Paired Devices > New and then the phone and car will find each other and pair. Next, select HFL on the phone and hit connect. You're good to go. After this initial setup, the phone will connect automatically
