Under the device properties on the phone, do you have the HandsFreeLink marked Trusted as Yes so that it doesn't require authorization each time you use the connection?

When I got it early august all it showed on the MID was that is was connected too, but the calls always could be answered (and originated) with the buttons on the steering wheel. The only thing I had to setup on the phone was bluetooth all the time so that it automatically pairs after the initial setup in the HFL in the car. Maybe something is wrong with your phone or the car? Try setting it up again.

The signal strength and battery only started showing up on the MID after the software upgrade which just came out (which mainly was to give the phone full MP3 playing capabilities with the external buttons). You have to take your phone to Verizon for the upgrade. It takes some time so most likely you'll have to drop it off and pick it up later.

Sprint PPC-6700 (HTC Apache) Works

Hello,

I can confirm that the new Sprint PPC-6700 PDA phone, which runs Windows Mobile 5.0, works fine with at least my 2005 Acura TL w/ nav.

So far, the Bluetooth connection has dropped only once. Also, I've had to press the "End Call" button on the steering wheel a couple of times to end a few stubbornly connected calls. Finally, the car does not show any signal or battery strength information with this phone, but caller ID shows up fine.

Otherwise, all is well.

TMobile - V600.

Phone : Motorola V600
Service Provider : TMobile
S/W Version : TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.3AR_A
Flex Version : GS9V600TMB02NA157

Am the new owner of a 05 TL. Love the car so far. Initially had a problem pairing the phone. Called Acura, they told me that this phone was on the incompatible list of phones. After reading through various articles about Flashing the firmware, etc... I decided what the heck I should give it another try. This time I tried to connect to the Bluetooth from the phone rather than the car try it, and I didn't have any problems in doing so. Right now, the display has the phone icon and the battery strength indicator. I also get the caller id displayed on the center console.

Lu this forum, keep it going guys.

According to Acura's web site this only Treo they support is the Sprint version with the 1.12 version of firmware. Says it supports all items except car diags and battery meter.

I know there was just a Cingular firmware update that came out 2 days ago. I wonder if this added more BT compatibility like the last Sprint update did.

I don't know if this helps, but on the Acura Hands-free Link web site, under Sprint they specifically list the 940 as NOT compatible. I have not been hearing good things about the bluetooth on this phone on the Sprint forums.

Angry A940 Incompatible with '04 TL

I purchase a Sprint (Samsung) A940. It appeared to work sometimes with my TL but on two occasions my handsfreelink froze on "incoming ca;;" and I had to disconnect the battery to reset my handsfreelink.

I previously had a Sony 608 with no problems other than some calls would switch to the phone after dialing.

Thanks for the info - we've all been waiting. How did you get one so fast? I thought they were just released yesterday or the day before via internet only?

I've picked my RAZR V3c up today. And not from Internet, but from a store. $99 after mail-in rebate. Not bad, eh?

I paired the phone and it recognized it, the only problem is now if I have the phone on and get in the car and start up it doesnt sync with the phone, I have to go in the phone settings and look for devices then it will work, but after I leave the car and go in it again I have to do that over and over. Any ideas please?

I am unsure of your issue, mine pairs each time I get it. Just a thought, check to make sure that you have bluetooth powered on at all times.

bluetooth

I want a Motorola Razr phone but my Verizon dealer is making it expensive. I like our Verizon service but their Razor is more expensive that all of the competition for purchase. Their "deal" is $299 less $100 = $199.00 for this phone. T-Mobile and Cingular offer the same phone for $50-$100. Does anyone have this Razr phone and how do you like it while I wait out this stupid pricing of theirs? QR

I have the razr also in my car. works flawlessly. but, everytime i get into the car i need to turn the bluetooth of the phone on. it dosnt' just sync up. what i did was set one of my hotkeys as a bluetooth button. its a little easier than going through the menu option

Yes, but the phone is new to Verizon, which is why it is more. You could find it cheaper online, but the deals are almost always for new subs only.

What is your RF/signal strength like? Don't have the signal indicator, but I can tell I have a pretty good connection. Rarely drop calls, rarely lose voice, HOWEVER, occasionally making a phone call will cause my Treo to reboot. (1 in 12)

Yes, the i730 does pair, but with out the capability of answering call waiting, and I believe without signal strength or battery strength, or both.. not for sure. My husband has the i730, but he rarely drives my car.

Thumbs up Blackberry 7250

Company/Model of the phone: Blackberry 7250
Is this phone an OEM version or a provider customized version? assume Verizon customized
Firmware: unsure (4.0.0.6 maybe)
Does your phone automatically pair?: Sort of (see below)
What shows up on the MID: Battery, Signal Strength, Caller ID
Service Provider: Verizon
Geographical Location: DC Metro
What is your RF/signal strength like? full bars
What is the reception like MOST of the time? Excellent

The Blackberry prompts to make the connection (Yes or No) w/ HFL each time I get in the car. Trying to find out if I can make it fully automatic. However, I may keep it the way it is in order to have the option to keep the conversation private. BTW, the 7250 is on the approved phones list on the Acura & Verizon websites, so the fact that it works isn't really a surprise. I just got the phone & wanted to be sure of compatibility.

Rumor has it that there exists some patch that would make the Samsung A900 phone work in Hands Free mode on a 2005 RL. Does anyone know about it?

Sony Ericsson phones such as w900, k750, and w810 do not seem to be working properly with HFL after the latest firmware updates... I hope this can be fixed, a lot of people do have these phones.
