Hey

Can anyone tell me if the cluster from an 07 TL would fit in a 05 TL??

I know it would fit but would it be plug and play?

 

Which cluster are you talking about?

 

im assuming the gauge cluster, and it would physically fit, but i dunno if it'd be plug and play

 

I'm no expert but these are just my thoughts...

Might not be plug and play because of where the gears are located on the cluster. In the 04-06 models, the gears are listed on the left RPM panel, whereas on the Type-S, they are on the right panel, I believe. Also, the MID, I believe it is called is no longer on the right panel in the 04-06 models, it is moved to the middle MPH panel on the Type-S. Not sure if you mean the 07-08 base model cluster. Never seen one. But I assume it calls for some rewiring. Here is what I am talking about...

It would call for re-wiring, and also then you would have the IDIOT TPMS lights with a malfunctions as the 05 didn't have TPMS.

 

fix or not fix the cluster,someone tell me
