I recently had to replace my Nav drive as the original failed. Everything now works great except on my morning commutes I noticed that my clock says its 1:20 instead of 7:20. Its correct in the afternoon when I leave so I don't quite understand why its doing this. I looked around and cant find anything that gives me any insight on a fix. Anyone have any ideas? Its not a major issue, but definitely an annoyance

 

Bump..I should also mention that in the morning when the clock reads 1:20, the nav reads 7:20.

 

I don't know if your car is the same as mine (2010 TL SHAWD w/Tech) but have you looked at the "System Setup" menu within the "Info" button, Setup (other)? For me, there, i can find a "Clock Adjustment" menu and when I click up with the Dial button, it takes me to the "Adjust Time" menu. I am not sure adjusting this will affect both the NAV and Radio clocks but it is worth looking at. BTW, the manual indicates that after adjusting the clock , you need to recheck your "Auto Daylight" and "Auto Time Zone" settings to be sure they are the way you want them.

 

Is it possible you have an LED out? Just seems odd that the time you mentioned is 1:20 vs 7:20.
I'm pretty sure the clock is set automatically via the Nav. I think the only adjustment you can make is DST or not.

 

What year is your TL, and what year Nav unit did you replace it with? There are well documented issues with using a 2007-08 Nav unit with the 2004-2006 sub display. The clock issue is the main problem, but I have seen issues with some of the other icons on the 2004-06 sub display when paired with the newer 2007-08 nav units. That is the first thing I would look into if I were you. Good luck!

 

No LED's out, that was my first thought, but no luck. Mines a 2006 and the nav was from a 2007 so looks like that is what Ill have to look into. Was there any fix for it that you know of?


Ive looked into the nav menu and all the adjusting factors are off now and the nav has the correct time. So just trying to track why its changing the other clock 6 hours back.

 

i would check to see if it shows 7:20 PM correctly. If it still says 1:20 then its a display issue not time issue. But if it shows 7:20 then that's really weird.

 

As soon as it hits any of the pm hours everything is correct. It's definitely the weirdest thing I've Seen. I've noticed that at 12-1am it's fine as well. Very odd :-/
