Clicking sound from right speaker 2006 Acura TL
Clicking sound from right speaker 2006 Acura TL
Clicking sound from right door speaker and right tweeter. Changes pitch when I rev the engine. Its intermittent, often times it either goes away or starts when I make a turn. Very annoying. It happens even when I'm not listening to anything on my stereo. Any help would be appreciated. My current solution is unplugging the speakers, which isn't ideal. I don't think its related but I did replace my stock radio with a double din from pioneer a few months ago. Link is to a yt video of the sound.
Did you bypass the factory amp? What was the goal of replacing the factory HU with aftermarket?
The fact that the tone changes with engine speed leads to a power issue most likely. If the factory amp is still in the picture, could be a ground loop, or the factory amp needs to be rebuilt. If the factory amp was removed and only the aftermarket HU is in the picture, it is most likely a ground issue.

So I think I'm gonna replace the factory amplifier with an aftermarket which I was going to do anyways, and if that doesn't work I'll replace the head unit. I already contacted the seller I bought it from and they said they would send me a new one. I would swap the left and right rca channels to confirm it's an issue with the deck, but it's a pain to take apart the center console just to check the RCAs.
Appreciate the advice, I'll post what the issue was once I fix it.
i had the same problem when directly wiring aftermarket signal to factory amp. my audio became extra loud and and low/no volume, it buzzed. aftermarket headunit is already preamp and can drive speakers directly, w/o the oem amp. Very easy solution w/o going into the dash. simply get to the amp in passenger kick panel, find the corresponding input/output speakers wire and connect. I only kept the oem amp to drive the oem sub.
Update:
Issue was the Pioneer deck itself. I replaced the factory amp and it just made the clicking louder, which was comical. After some digging I found out that Pioneers are known for having the pico fuses that ground the RCAs blow out. So I took the deck out, tied a 22 gauge copper wire around the RCA pigtails and wrapped each one in electrical tape, then terminated the wire at one of the screws on the deck. A ghetto solution for sure, but it worked great.

i had the buzz in all speakers with volume at 01 and engine on. noise went away when i turned engine off. removed the amplifier and sent it to a guy that repairs them on eBay:
2004 - 2008 Acura TL Amplifier Audio REPAIR SERVICE $134.10 plus shipping
Fix for buzzing, static, low or no volumegreat communication, fast turn around. I reinstalled the amp in 30 minutes and my radio sounds great again.
I think it is the Factory Amp going bad.. I have had 2 OEM amps.. Both Did that noise. And now the AMP barely makes any sound. I crank it all the way and it barely works.
And the Colder it is outside, the Worse it is.. (Quieter, less amplification)
I will go aftermarket and try to find a wiring Adapter somewhere.. Maybe sonic has one? no idea!
