Center Speaker Upgrades w/MS8

I really need to get rid of the stock center speaker.
I don't want to revamp my system by having to get another amp so the center speaker will be running off the MS8 for now.

What are some nice drop in speakers?

Massive audio SK-6. 6.5" that will fit with no modification. Only 1.6" deep.

The center speaker is a 3.5" speaker. Kicker sells a 3.5" that falls right in.

I don't understand why you say a 6.5" ?

Please do explain ?

The MS8 puts a lot of emphasis on the center channel. To get the most out of it, the center needs to play as low as the midbass in the doors and no 3.5" will come close. If you're only using the center for Navi and the tiny bit of info that goes to it on CDs I wouldn't bother upgrading it.

A shallow 6.5" will slide right in once you remove the clock display. If you decide a center channel upgrade is worth it, theres no reason not to do a 6.5" since all else being equal it will be more efficient, dig lower, and probably play flatter.

Cool. I understand surround sound, as I have had all formats since 3 channel surround sound came out. Also basically your talking about THX certification, where all speakers are the same size or same brand for tonal balance.

Thanks for that input. That would be great to put a speaker in the dash the same size and model number as the front and rear speakers !!!

AWESOME
COOL
Now I have another mod on my LONG list
But its FUN
Thanks Again
Merry Christmas
