I have 6 CD's in my CD player and only one of them shows the album name and track listing.
They are all burned CD's one of which I have burned myself and I made sure the files had the correct info.
So where does the CD player get the track and album info from the files?

Are they data CDs (comprised of MP3/WMA files), or audio CDs?

 

Data CD's will show titles etc. Regular audio cd's wont.

 

When you burn the CD, you should have the choice to either burn it as a "Data" cd or an "Audio" cd (might use different terms but it will be close to this). When using the Data CD option, it will show the names, etc. You'll also be able to fit more on the disc as it goes by the storage capacity of the disc and NOT by the time capacity. Should be able to fit 4-5x as much if I remember correctly

 

I guess that is it, I usually burn audio CD's. I'll have to switch to data for the car then.

I usually buy my CDs and I'd say about one out of every 3 CD I own will have the track data and the rest won't. I find it annoying to have such a low rate...TEASE !
