CD Eject

I'm a new member so forgive me if I'm asking a question that has been asked before. I threw in a disc that I burned into my '07 TL Type S. Loaded fine and played great. But I went to eject it and it won't come out. Won't even play anymore. I even tried loading some of the empty cd slots with no luck. When I try to play it gives me a code of "Format." I'm assuming this is probably a cdr that I shouldn't be using. It doesn't have a label because I know that would cause it to get jammed. Just looking for tips that might help me get this cd out.

What brand of disc did you use? IMO Some of the cheaper ones seem a little thicker...hopefully it's not stuck in there.

I'll have to check. I grabbed the disc from work but it had the white surface on top for printing. So most likely it is a tad bit thicker than a regular disc. I feel like a fool now for putting it in there. Not that I use cds much anymore but I never had this problem with my Audi.

Any updates? Mine started doing weird stuff like this for a year before it finally quit. The factory CD players seem to start acting up around 5 years. When my car was new it would play just about anything and toward the end sometimes brand new store bought CDs would not play.

Same thing has been happening to me recently, i found that turning the car on and off a few times until the red led blinks will let you eject it, i also bought a cd cleaner disc in hopes it may have just been dirty and was misreading my cd's

I had a similar problem. All of sudden when I went to play any CD, the system would kind of churn and then just shut off the entire audio/nav, everything. If I turned the key on/off, it would come back up and I could do regular radio and XM, but the CD would crap it out again. I tried switching discs, ejecting, and still the same.

Mind you, these are a mixture of store bought CDs, CD-Rs, and two DVD-A discs.

Then yesterday, I had a few minutes to burn while sitting in a parking lot and was able to get all the disks ejected. I inserted in a new(er) store bought CD and it wouldn't play at all and shut the system off after about 20 seconds. I finally got the CD out after several more key turn off/on's but now I'm scared to put anything in.
