Cassette Adapter issue

I've been using my cassette player adapter for the last year and then all of a sudden it just pops my tape out. I stick it back and the arrow points down for some reason and then pops it out again. I thought the tape was bad so I got a new one. It still does the same thing. I push all the rewind and fast forward button and nothing happens. It goes in and comes out after 5 seconds. I was thinking a cassette cleaner? Can anybody suggest anything?

Do you mean an ipod integration?

Check and make sure the two wheels in the adaptor spin freely. If those wheels don't spin easily, your radio might think it's at the end of cassette and may want to auto-eject or reverse. Try a standard cassette (if you can find one) and see if that works without popping out.

thats an expensive option. I saw they sell for $100? I might as well go for ipod integration.

i'd go with ipod/aux integration as well.

To get your problem looked at/fixed, you'd be probably spending close to what a ipod integration costs (i'm assuming around $200)

I checked, and the old adapter's wheels got jammed up so I guess that was one issue. But the new one spins freely and it still does the same. I guess I should find a standard cassette.

I'm really trying to avoid the option of ipod integration. I just got an iphone 3g and if I use ipod integration I won't be able to use the phone and play music at the same time.
