I just recently bought my 1st Acura...i wanted to put a car starter in it bcuz i hate the cold and can't deal with the freezing cold leather seats...I want to get a car starter but I'm not sure how it works...will no longer b able to use the factory remote to get into the car? I also want some type of security system...my last car which was a Honda was stolen 2 times in 3 months...ne suggestions on security systems?

I had mine installed last week and my factory remotes work just fine. I don't use them though because my installer connected my doors and trunk to the car starter. Something like this I'd recommend something with a good reputation like a compustar or viper otherwise you are just buying a headache.

 

i have the compustar 2-way remote. It was the first MOD to my TL and I strongly recommend it as it has never given me any problems. The only down fall is that you lose the ability to roll down all of your windows remotely unless you add the actuators.
