cant get acuralink to connect

my iphone 3GS is paired with the car just fine, try to setup acura link and the server connection test fails each time. i do easy setup > at&t (formerly att wireless), and then it fails.

"notification: connection was not confirmed, acura server data will not be available.

what gives?

Did it work? I have an iPhone 4 and can't get it to work with Acuralink either (nor would my iPhone 3GS connect). Why doesn't Acura work with Apple to ensure data download compatibility?

It's not working because the phone doesn't support data connection. See for yourself, by going to http://www.handsfreelink.com. Scroll down to the bottom a bit, on the left, and then enter all your info. Then look at the details, and you'll see under "data connection" that there is an "X". (And data connection is what you need to allow AcuraLink to work).

I have found the a lot/most phones don't support this feature, or at least most of the phones that people own don't support it.
