can this be done with the navi?

enter a destination in the navi and have it display/list any POI's within the route being taken? sort of like a "display POI" command. haven't seen it. may not exist but maybe someone has a trick to have it display a similar result.

There is a command to list POIs by "Find the nearest Point of Interest / Tourist Information" I guess. Am sure there is one, cannot recall the exact words. It will list the POIs from the current location.

But, can you list it en route to your destination as w1n78 asked above? Thanks.

Yes if you are enroute and you issues a "Find the nearest tourist attraction" command, you'll get the list. I'd done this once in the past. If you get help while en-route you'll see that command. Once it list you can pick one to go and change route or you can put that in your todays destination I guess.

Not exactly... from my research and testing, this NAV will not show a list of all Tourist Attraction / Points of Interest icons along a given route from point A to Point B. As folks have pointed out, you can at any time issue a "Find Nearest Tourist Attraction" command...but that is not as slick as what you are asking for...which is an icon or listing of POIs that exist along your entire route (between points A and B) that doesn't require you to perform a "find nearest..." command every 50 miles or so.

You probably know this already, but for the benefit of others...
The only map icons that can be displayed while you are enroute to a given destination are for ATMs, gas stations, restaurants (all types), post offices, grocery stores, and hotel-motels. To view these icons, simply activate Voice Recognition and speak "display gas station", for example. You can use the toggle to move the cursor away from your current GPS position and click on any one of the icons to get the specifics about that location (name, address, etc).

Bummer that they did not include "tourist attractions" as a display icon feature. That would be cool.
