Can CD player ff and rw?

I have an 06 TL with Nav and don't read in the owners manual that I can fast forward or rewind a CD track. I hit the buttons (>>, <<) that do this function for a cassette but no go when playing a CD. Doesn't the Acura have this feature? Thanks.

whatever button advances the track, just hold that one button down until it fast forwards or reverses

You can use 1) voice commands or 2) the "channel" buttons on your steering wheel to skip or go back to CD/DVD-A tracks.
I think the round "seek" buttons marked "+" and "-" on the radio panel above the cassette control buttons also change the CD tracks.

you can press the + button and hold it down to advance, and press - to rewind.

You have to hold it down on the unit though, it won't work on the steering controls on 04-06 TLs

The + and - are the seek buttons on the HU. I use this all the time when I'm about to drive by good looking girls and wanna skip to the good parts of the song

The steering wheel controls for "channel" do change the CD tracks on my '05- I used them while driving to work this a.m. on a CD.

I'm glad the FF/REW question was asked because I was wondering the same thing on my '08 TL.

Yes, the + - (seek) buttons work if you press and hold. However, the steering wheel track +/- button will not go into FF/REW mode if held down. Mine beeped and took me out out RDM mode, which can be helpful if that's what you want instead.

Yeah I know. It changes the tracks on both cars. Nothing different there.

The difference is we are talking about FF/RW from the steering wheel. I think (someone confirm) the 07+ are able to do it from the steering wheel but I know for a fact the 04-06 can't do it, only from the HU.
