i just bought a 2004 acura tl today. i love it, i love the touch screen navigation and everything; until i put a cd in. then it shuts my audio off and i cant listen to the radio or anything. i have to retstart the car and then eject my cds quickly so i can at least listen to the radio. does anyone know how to fix this??

 

This exact same thing happened to me within a few days of buying my 2004 TL at the end of September as well.

I started a thread in here with regards to this problem and all I got back was that I had to replace the CD player unit itself because it was messed up.

If your problem is just like mine, the CD player won't play at all- it'll recognize the CDs, load and eject them just fine, but it will never play any tracks and just hang there just showing the track number. Problem is, I don't want to drop a couple of hundred bucks on something that seems to ridiculous, especially when the car is out of warranty.

Any help, anyone?

 

yeah there is no way im putting in an aftermarket radio or anything because this is a bad ass head unit; it would be better if the 6 cd changer worked

sux. i bought an 04 navi with radio and cd to do my conversion. All i did was change the cd changer, the radio can stay. You shoould look for one in ebay or car-parts.com..

 

I have a perfectly good working 06 6 disc changer from doing my navi upgrade if you want it. pm me i can ship today!

 

Mjakaz06TL I was trying to give you for doing your conversion. you went through more trouble than most of us did. did you get the HFL module yet?
