Bluetooth receivers/connectors - Up to date

I know this issue has been beat to death, but a lot of the topics on the forum are pretty old now, and some of the bluetooth adapter kits aren't even sold anymore. Does anyone have any recommendations that they can recommend? Currently the only one I can find anymore is the GROM BT3, but even that wasn't definitive in figuring out issues. TIA!

I'm using the Grom unit with Bluetooth, less than a year old. Streaming music is great but, the phone part not so much. People I call hear a lot of static/back ground noise. Although it could be where I've placed the mic. I have the mic on the upper A pillar area by the sun visor on the driver side.

Functionality wise it's good. The unit will automatically connect to the phone's Bluetooth, but you have to have the stereo in the CD mode in order for it to do that when starting the car. Otherwise you have to connect manually.

To answer a call you just hit the skip forward CD button and to end a call you have to hit the skip back button twice. Volume control is through all normal volume buttons and yes at the steering wheel control.

The unit comes with the male ear phone jack (2.5mm). Bluetooth is a add on for about $50.00.

Hey just looking for updates. How has the GROM worked out? What exact model did you guys get?

I have an 06 non-nav with a USAspec adaptor that has been fine, but I'm moving on from iPhone and need a new adaptor now. I want the steering wheel controls and have it just connect over bluetooth for music. Is the HON1A3 and bluetooth dongle for $50 all I need?

Hey there, I have installed the USA SPEC BT45 HON3 on my 2005 Acura TL which it came with the Navigation option. It worked brilliantly, and I was able to keep the standard HFL. check out my video to see of what I am talking about:

Thanks guys. After I've already spent $120+ on my current USAspec, I don't really want to spend $180-230 on a new adapter. After looking around on Amazon, I'm thinking
this for $30 this for $30
might be a good option to connect to my current aux input. I won't having steering wheel controls, but at least it would be wireless. This one looks like it should auto connect as well. Does anyone have experience with a cheaper option like this?
