Hi,

i have TL 2004 and my talk button is not working anymore. When i press talk, the radio shuts and i see PHONE displayed on the clock dash but the dash screen (mileage) where the phone bar level is is blank. also no command voice or whatsoever.

tried to press talk and end for over 10 seconds but nothing. unplugged the battery, nothing. My phone can't find the bluetooth of the car anymore.

Are you sure its the button and not the HFL module? 04's had a TSB for faulty HFL replacements. If your's wasn't done it may be eligible for upgrade even though its out of warranty. BTW, welcome to Acurazine!

oh ur right the HFL is defective. do you think by just unpluging the HFL, all the rest will work?

I'm not sure but why unplug it if you can get it replaced for free? It can't hurt to check with your dealer - the worst he can say is no!

i will check with the dealer next monday...if i have to pay, i will just unplug it.

today, i tried the NAVI...IT'S WORKING. The lady is speaking through the spekers. but the second i press Talk button f
or phone, the Voice function becomes gray and not working. radio also not working.
i think there is a conflict somewhere. i will unmount the HFL unit and replug all back and see.
