bluetooth not pairing

i have read many of the threads posted and any of them that talk about pairing the car and phone, say to push the TALK button on the steering wheel. mine doesn't have one. what's up with that? is there another button that i should be pressing? i have an 04 tl.
(my phone doesn't find the car)

If your car is a Canadian model, it did not have the HFL/Bluetooth system for '04, so there are no HFL buttons on the lower left quadrant of the steering wheel.
