Bluetooth and MP3
Has anyone figured out a way to get the TL to play the audio from an MP3 player equipped with Bluetooth? Since the audio system is somehow Bluetooth enabled to deal with Handsfree handling of mobile phones, you would think that Acura would also allow an MP3 player to be paired with the stereo system via Bluetooth. This is even more important since there is no "AUX" connector for attaching an MP3 player.

Buy a cassette adapter, plug it into the headphone jack on your MP3 player, and finally discover a purpose for having the tape deck in the TL.
Ask me, I think they should have put an integral iPOD in-dash and a with a remote control jack-in, and a line-in jack. At the bare minimum they should be able to play back an MP3 disk. The cheap-o after-market CD players can do that. With the in-dash changer I could have had 60+ albums in the dash at once. If they could play back MP3 burned on a DVD, ten times that amount. .. ::

To answer the original question, that won't work. The BT component of the TL is designed to act basically as a huge BT headset using the Hands Free profile. All the other funcationality BT can do isn't programmed into the TL. (Good thing, who needs some jackass with a BT mouse driving you into a tree? )
Lemme back up. If your MP3 player supports "Hands Free Profile" , then it might work... but I dont know of any MP3 players that do that. They usually use proprietary BT equipment.
Burn 6 DVD-A's; who needs an MP3 player?

I have to agree with Mylriahd on this one, use a DVD authoring software (like DiskWelder) to load your MP3s onto DVDs as digital audio. It seems to be the most cost effective solution. And, after hearing what the quality of cassette adapters produce, it is the best sounding solution as well (IMO).

This is a long shot, but what about BT phones that also play MP3s? The Moto V710 is due out in the next couple of weeks and supports BT and has an MP3 player. Granted, the storage is somewhat limited, but its something.
