Bluetooth Module Compatibility

Bluetooth Module Compatibility
The bluetooth module (HFL) went out on my '07 TL S Type. I've removed the unit and have been shopping on e-bay for a replacement. Can anyone tell me if all the units are the same with different covers, depending on the model of Acura, or if each model has a different electrical part. My module has a p/n of 83251SEP A200C5. I have found several on ebay but they seem to have slightly different part numbers even though the photos show a plug that appears to be exactly the same. Also will the later model TL unit fit the 07?
thanks
Joe

However, the HFL unit for each year is the same, and can be swapped out of a bezel by removing a few screws.
AZ vendors oemacuraparts.com and acuraoemparts.com each have new HFL units for about $180, BTW.

Hi Will,
thanks for the info. I've also been reading the other thread about the HFL failures in which there are some photos of the part. One photo show that there are 2 boards in the unit, motherboard and daughterboard. Mine only has the one board. Is the photo of another unit?

Are you talking about the photos by jsmack27 in posts 534 and 535? If so, that is his Homelink board-- he didn't pull out the HFL.
I don't know how the interior of the HFL is set up, as I never took my HFL apart. The oven-baking procedure didn't come up until a year after I replaced my HFL.
However, there is only one board in earlier photos in that thread of the disassembled HFL which contained capacitors that people were trying to change/reconnect to revive the dead HFL.
