Bluetooth, incoming phone call display
Bluetooth, incoming phone call display
Hey guys,
I did see a posting earlier this summer about the Canadian TL owner.
I have a 2006 TL. I have synchronize my blackberry 8700.
The cellular service is through Rogers.
My MID display shows everything including the digits when making an outgoing phone call. But for some reason I can not see the phone numbers when I'm receiving phone calls on the MID screen. Simply displays incoming phone call.
The display works perfectly fine I receive signal strength and battery strength. The dealer also is not sure why this is happening. I've synchronize my friend's cell phone to my car and the results were the same. When I synchronize my cell phone to his car (2006 TL) no problem in coming numbers are displayed. His cell phone provider is different.
Originally there was an individual who claimed it may have been an issue with the Rogers service here in Canada. Something on the lines of an extra digit (1) that may not show up on our MID screen. I have discussed this with Rogers cell phone who claimed this is not an issue they would deal with.
Could anyone suggest how this issue can be dealt with.
It's a great feature to have in the car. I would like to use it completely.

Welcome to AZ.
There were some ongoing issues involving cell phones on the Rogers system- a search would disclose several threads. Try pulling up some of those threads, but IDK if there was ever a resolution for the problem.
IIRC, the Rogers people would say it was an issue with the phone manufacturer, and the phone manufacturer would say it was the Rogers system, but the problem may originate in the phone's software.
