Bluetooth doesn't work anymore?!

i have a 2005 acura tl , everything works as it should with the bluetooth, but when i go to add my phone, it says "Make sure your mobile phone is discoverable" unfortunately it never finds my phone, it used to work but now it will keep searching for my phone and will not find it, i know the problem is not my phone because I've tried to connect to many phones and none of them connect. Anyone know how to fix this?

Search for the car with your phone. Don't try to search for your phone with the car.

Might also be a problem with the bluetooth module in the car. I can not connect to mine anymore even though when I run diagnostics it says it is fine.

If you're sure the problem isn't with the phone....

Look at the thread entitled "Bluetooth Fails" in this electronics forum. My car couldn't pair with my phone, and using the baking approach detailed in that thread I repaired the problem in about 30 minutes and for free.

Mine has the same problem. It seems that it started suddenly right after the new android 4.3 update. anyone else with this issue? the handsfree worked just fine right up till the upgrade.

I thought we had a similar problem of Bluetooth connectivity, tied in to when my wife upgraded her phone. But the fact that my phone (same old flip phone for years) would no longer pair either, told me the problem wasn't with the phone/software, but rather the car.

I am also looking for a solution - somewhat different problem, but I'm thinking it's the 4.3 Android. HTC One, upgraded on 12/20. Sometime thereafter I noticed on our '13 TL and '13 RDX, both Advance Pkg, that the Address Books, which had always included all contacts on my phone (over 500) was now incomplete. I tried deleting the phone from the TL, then had difficulty re-connecting it, as suggested in the original post. When the phone was in discovery, it would see the signal from the car causing the code entry screen to pop up, but then the car would report that there were no discoverable devices. I shut everything down, restarted the phone and walked away for 30 minutes. Upon retry, I was able to pair my phone, but the very same contacts transferred - an incomplete subset! As both cars displayed similar symptoms, I'm thinking it's Android 4.3 related.

I'll be looking for a fix here and elsewhere. Thanks!
