Blackberry World Edition problems
Blackberry World Edition problems
My new blackberry (I had a treo) will not automatically connect to bluetooth when making outbound call from phone. I have to manually scroll to "transfer to bluetooth". Also, I the call waiting button does not work. Again, I have to manually press answer on the phone. Can u help?
Note: the person on the phone WILL hear you say transfer, so you might want to ask them to hold and let them know what you're about to do. it will give you a chance to show off, too

Btw Atlantasteve, Welcome to Acurazine! I Hope this helps!!!
Anyone found a workaround for this? I too have to transfer the call from the blackberry when I dial. Incoming calls get routed directly through the HF device automatically.
Haven't yet tried to take a call coming through while on the phone.
Getting sick and tired of saying "transfer" whenever I make my calls....I make way more outbound that I get incoming.....<sigh>

Bluetooth options:
Discoverable: YES
Allow OutGoing Calls: Always
BlackBerry Paired Devices:
HandsFeeLink TM click BB button for device properties
-Trusted: YES
-Ecryption: Enabled
-Echo control: Automatic
With those config, your phone should connect automatically to HFL. If you want to dial directly with HFL you need to add the voice dial numbers 1 by 1. If you dial with the phone you need to transfer manually. If you receive a call you can ANSWER with the phone and it still gonna be the HFL. SO, its not a big deal...
I love my new phone, trust me ITS WAY better then a treo for HFL and in general.

Thanks, but the question however is there a way to setup the BB 8830 so that when you dial from the phone it automatically goes over the HFL without having the transfer the call?
There has to be a setting that we are missing???? Do other BBs (like the Curve) work this way too?

My Curve works the same. I have to manually transfer the call when I dial from the phone. What helped me was adding the phone #'s I dial the most to to acura phonebook.
Well ... Try This ... When you first start the car ... it should pop up with a message on your BB to connect to "Hands Free Link" go to the bottom of the message and select "do not ask again" and then go ahead and click yes .... what this will do is ... as soon as the BB is able to connect to the HFL ... it will do so .. and will transfer all calls to the HFL .. see if it works. ...

I wouldn't think that they would change the BB software between different BBs.
