Blackberry bluetooth problems

I previously had a Samsung Instinct from Sprint, which generally worked well with the HFL in my 06 TL, except from time to time the HFL would not pick up a call I dialed from the phone. Although the Instinct was a bad phone, its one saving grace was how well it worked with the HFL. I especially liked being able to dial a call from the phone and have it automatically picked up by the HFL.

I recently replaced the instinct with a blackberry bold 9700 from t-mobile. I've gotten it to pair successfully with my HFL, but I can't get the HFL to automatically pick up calls I dial from the Blackberry. I can get the calls to the HFL after the person I am calling has answered and by manually transferring the call. I also cannot get any audio or voicemails to play through the HFL.

I was wondering whether any one had any insight into these problems. Can they be fixed? I haven't upgraded the HFL since I bought the car in 06 -- would that address some of these problems? I hope they can be addressed, because I love the 9700 -- a fantastic phone. I hate to haev to go crawling back to my Instinct!

i have the blackberry tour and have the same issue. I dont think its a problem, just a flaw.
You can do two things to make it easier
1. you call, then press the HFL button and say "transfer"
or
2. call, hang up, then press the HFL and say "redial"

Thanks. I use the "transfer" technique a lot since i have too many contacts to load into the HFL phone book, but with the new phone I have to actually wait for the caller to pick up before I can transfer the call. If I try to do it before the call is connected, it tells me that "there's no call in progress". From reading other posts here, I think that's a T-Mobile issue.

I like the redial idea. Didn't think of that before. I'll try it when I am on my way home from work this evening. Thanks.

did you try to push the speaker button twice on your BB, once you dial and you see call connected (but before they answer) then push speaker button on the BB once, then once again it should transfer to your HFL. i have a BB 8830, should work the same i'm assuming
