Anyone have any information as to whether the new Blackberry 7130c (offered by Cingular) is compatible with the TL's Hands Free Link? Indications are that it should be, but Acura has not yet updated their Owner Link Web Site.

Check out the last few pages (it may still be the last one) of the compatibility sticky thread. Someone had success with the 7130e - which should be the same minus the actual provider it's aligned with.

Was gonna open this same thread but Search tool came in handy. Any news on this? The 7130c is an awesome phone from what I've seen. I tried it yesterday for a couple of mins with one of the Cingular reps. So far I know for sure that:

It DOES pair with the vehicle (2005 TL)
It DOES reconnect whenver you leave and come back to the vehicle or turn it off and back on.
It DOES have good sound quality paired with the vehicle


Now I couldn't do a full test because the battery died so I don't know more than the above.

I didn't get a chance to try recieving an incoming call with the HFL

Based on all the info above, I believe it's compatible. Just waiting for someone else to verify the TOTAL compatibility. I think I'll be acquiring one of those sooner or later though. Always hated blackberry design until now. 7130c is an awesome phoen as far as I'm concerned........... and surprisingly light-weight for a pda phone jam-packed with features.

If anyone gets the phone please help us fill in the blanks. Thanks people!

 

I can assure you that the Blackberry 7130c is fully compatible with the TL. All functions work perfectly. I have had this phone for about 2-months now, and I am very pleased with its performance.
