big decision, need some help
Im getting an ipod adaptor for my tl and i have to make the choice wether i want the steering wheel buttons and radio buttons to control or just the ipod buttons. ill be using an old iphone that i will not have to answer calls with

Actually, with the peripheral PXAMG allows you to do both. after install hit the XM button, then immediatly press mode of your steering wheel, or turn the tuner knob and it lets you cycle through XM, AUX 1/AUX 2, and Ipod.
When selecting the Ipod setting, you can only control the ipod through your radio/steering wheel.
When selecting the Aux 1 setting you can control the ipod directly from the unit itself, AND still utilize the steering wheel controls. The down side to this is that it doesn't display song text.
