Hello everyone, I'm sort of new on here.
I'm looking to see which are the best sound setting to listen to music with bass.
HipHop, Pop, and others.
What do you guys recommend?

Start flat. Adjust from there. Your ears are different than mine, both in physical shape and how they communicate with your brain.
There aren't enough settings on the factory radio that make it time prohibitive to just play around with it.

I found if you use a tape to mp3 adapter you can get way more base and volume out of the factory unit... althogh that still wasnt enough so i got the " pac oem-hon20 " adapter and added two 500w kicker amps with 2 diamond audio subs, however I now have no room in my trunk now lol
Your sound will depend on what source you are plugging in, so there's no "one size fits all" answer that is going to be agreed upon by everyone.
Example: I do use some CDs in my TL, but 90% of the time I actually plug my phone into it, since I use it as my MP3 player. Keep in mind, I have a 2004 TL, so I installed an AUX input into my car which shares the XM Radio jack (I can still use both).
When I listen to my CDs, the audio setup I have is good, sounds just fine. But because my phone's music app has its own equalizer--and it is set to its own settings--the car really thumps when I plug that in, even with my stock audio system in the car.
Granted, I don't bother tweaking the settings depending on the source- I just adjust it based on what I use most. In my case, the MP3 player. If it really bothers me as I drive, adjusting the audio levels is painfully easy so I don't have to go all scientist on it and adjust it to death. It only takes a few seconds.

The rattling of the sub can be tamed quite a bit by putting something soft between the rear window and the covering. You should also check the stock speakers to see if the surround has come off at all. Just glue it back on. Sound deadening around installation area behind door panels will also help.
There is a spike in the stock response around 8 khz which can make the bass seem weak. I think the tweeter covers are the culprit... Could replace those fairly cheap on parts express

Also, 8Khz and "bass" (<200Hz) are like 5-6 octaves apart. I know frequency response is all tied together, but a spike 6 octaves apart from a reference isn't going to make the reference seem weak, it'll just sound like a spike.
