Best LED replacement

Can anyone recommend an LED bulb for my 08 TL license plate? I've seen some on other cars but the lighting isn't right. I'm looking for bulbs that give off the lighting of the OEM bulbs.

The reason people go to LED IS to avoid the crappy OEM brownish orange color. If you want to stick to OEM color, stick to regular incandescent bulbs, why do you want to switch to LED...

I tried to edit my post as it should have said that I'm going for an OEM LED look.

Impossible

EDIT: are you talking about colour or output? Colour can't be achieved because LEDs are pure white, or blue, or whatever.

By OEM look, I'm assuming you're talking about how it lights up the license plate. Where it looks like one beam of light on the entire thing, instead of two individual bulbs? Just get very bright LEDs with a lot of SMDs and you should be good.

sounds like you dont know a lot about lighting...what is "oem led look" to you? cars that come with led license plate lights are just regular led bulbs. if you just want white, get a regular 5smd white led, it'll look similar to oem but it'll be white instead of yellow.

BMWs are known to have very bright leds for aftermarket options...if you want to embarrass them you need this:

Of course I want the bright white color. I referred to "OEM LED look" in regards to vehicles that come with LED plate lights from the factory.

To pinpoint it, I want bright white light with consistent coverage end to end.

I believe that paperboy has a custom dual 5w Creed led in there!

Thumbs up

Good crap, those are bright. I have some PIAA bulbs on mine (white LEDs) but they're not all that bright, but still a million times better looking than the OEM incandescent bulbs.

I'm excited to hear what kind of LEDs those are...that sounds like my next purchase (along with a backup switch to get people to stop tailgating me on the highway ).

Nice, but too bright for me.

To the OP, check out Vleds, plenty options there. Or eBay.
