Bench Testing 06 NAV unit

NAV unit died (won't spin up and as a result get disk error) and I would like to try bench testing it. Does anyone know which pins on which connector to supply power? And is it just 12VDC? I have power supply, clip leads, multimeter etc. Just haven't been able to find connector/signal details to apply power while out of car and on a bench. I'm assuming once power is applied it should start spinning up without any other signal lines having to tickle it. My plan is to then trace power to motor to see why it is not spinning. What do you all think?

Can't get past disk read error on nav screen. Took out examined and cleaned lens replaced back with same results. Listened really closely and could not hear disk spin up. Unit does get power because I can eject disk.

So do you know which connector and which pins supply 12v power to the unit?

Nope. I had the same issue. I had to send my unit to Alpine for repair. They replaced the DVD drive mechanism itself.

Trying to avoid sending it off until I have tried to at least establish what might be wrong. If it is something as simple as a broken flex cable or burned out FET I could fix those. I need to be able to power it from bench first. Maybe I will dig around in the NAV replacement hack forums to see if they have connector/signal details.
