Did your dealer activate your XM radio??...all this time I thinking I've been listening to previews since is my wife that turns it on when we drive together, and I listen to CD's 99.9% of the time and it seems the same music is playing...duh!.
I asked the sales woman when I picked the car when did the 3 months of free use begin, she said from today, so I ASS/U/ME.
Now I got the radio ID and tried to activate it online ( by phone is $14... ) but I thought I'd ask you guys 1st...

My XM was working fine when I picked up the car. A week or so later I called up XM to have the radio added to my plan. The girl said the dealer didn't activate it. Which I don't understand since it was getting service. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut?

 

Yea - mine activated mine at delivery.

 

Same... Activated at delivery... Called about 3 weeks later and tacked on the 1 year for $60 deal... So I am good till dec/jan timeframe.

Tell XM you bought a brand new Acura, they should give you a 3 month trial... they can't tell when you bought your car so in essence it should work.

 

So I brought the TL today to have the"rubber" thingie/ stop installed that was missing in the center console and I asked the Service Tech if all vehicles had the XM radio activated, his response was no, that what I was listening to was previews ( funny about 3 channels per category.. ) so are we sure that we are not just listening to a limited selection vs the mega number of stations offered to paying customers??... I wonder??...

 

Ok here is the deal, I just called XM and I'm active,( sorry), what my problem is that when I'm listening to the XM radio and want to change channels with the buttons on the steering wheel it defaults to CH1, the preview channel...anyone else have this happen??...( Sorry for the double posting but I couldn't edit the one above)...

 

No. When I use the steering wheel button, it cycles through my six preset stations on both XM1 and XM2. You may want to have that checked.

 

I wonder now that you mention it if I need to preset the stations, like I said earlier, I listen to my cd's and if it wasn't because my wife is hooked on XM radio I wouldn't even care, I thank you for the response Treblig ....
