battery life with bluetooth

I recently got a new V600 and paired it with my TL. Now the battery in my phone seems to be going dead at a very rapid pace. Is there a setting or something that I possibly messed up? I am really starting to get frustrated with the whole set-up.

Any pointers from the local gurus would be helpful.

Blue tooth definitely drains the battery at a higher rate. I'd recommend getting into the habit of always plugging in the phone when you're in the TL.

Not sure about the V600, but I have a V551 and I've created a shortcut that turns bluetooth on/off by pressing 2 buttons. Push of 2 buttons, bluetooth is off when I get out of the car and I repeat the process when I get in the car. Sure saves my battery. Search the audio/navigation sub forum, I believe there are step-by-step instructions on how to create a shortcut.

the only thing about plugging it in everytime...is that if you have a radar detector you are forced to keep your cell phone charger in the center console which is a bitch to do....

leading to a question....

is there a way to put in more outlets? i was thinking about hotwiring my radar detector so i wouldn't have to deal with all of that crap..
