Bass distortion after amp/sub/LOC install

I may have already fixed this, but I wanted to see what all of your responses would be like. So, I, along with James63410, installed my 2 10" Rockford Fosgate subs and Rockford Fosgate P300-1 Prime amp today. I did the add-a-fuse/circuit method on fuse 32 for the accessory switch (easy) and tied the grounds to the factory ground harness in the trunk. I'm using an Orion LOC that I picked up at a local audio store here run off the factory sub (though the LOC has R+, R-, L+, and L-). I used the LOC AFTER the stock amplifier (from the existing wire in the trunk) and I spliced the two LOC channels together and tied my factory sub wires to it. Connected everything, started her up and every works great. Driving down the road, I make a phone call and I hear distortion in the bass, it will cut in and out (even with radio off), the bass is always working but just a constant rumble when it happens, kinda fluctuating in severity. Its not very loud but can be somewhat annoying. I didn't tune the LOC at all initially, so when I got home, I did a quick gain adjustment all the way down and I did a quick test to see if that worked, everything seemed to be working. Does that like that could have been the issue? Just wanted to see what you guys thought, thanks!

Did you remove your noise canceling mic?

I didn't, but on the ride to work this morning (about a 15-20minute drive), I never heard the distortion again since I altered the gain on the LOC. I think its fixed!

Yeah you might have had the gain up to high and the amp was just shutting off. Isn't a super powerful amp or anything so I'm sure that's a possibility.

If you have a TL-S you need to unplug the ANC system. This causes the thumping sound with the radio off because it's playing the programmed inverse sounds to reduce noise.

Where is this located, is it easy to get to? What are the side effects of disconnecting this or what am I going to lose in doing it?
