Baffled by the dual climate control...

has anyone else had the problem that the passenger's side blows the tiniest breeze of air while the driver's side blows out a storm? I set the vent to max and the passenger side gets about 1/5 of the air flow as the driver side... same or different temperature settings...doesnt matter.

I am very confused...anyone encounter this problem before?

you can only have 1 speed but you can have diffrent levels of Temp for each side. Check your cabin air filter. TO TEST:
put the controls to 65 auto with the dual feature OFF. then see how much arie blows out on each side.

tried having them both at 65 and the blow out evenly... then once i turn up the heat on pass side only (car fully warmed up)... the passenger's side slows down... if i turn up the heat on driver side only then the heat comes out fine...any ideas?

My TL-S does the same, it must be the fan speed slows down to compensate for the higher temperature, once the temperature is lowered the fan speed get faster to lower to that temp, that is the only explanation i can come up with.,...

when the heat is turned on, the air comes thru the floor vents mostly and very little thru the top vents.

I have noticed this as well except mine is completely opposite. W/ the air coming out full blast the driver vent blows lightly and the passenger is very strong...I to am wondering how to fix this, my car has 600 miles on it.

Figured it out!! Both passenger and driver side have different modes, so make sure the air is coming out of the same location, mine for instance was driver: top and passenger was coming from the floor, hence no air from the passenger top..check it out thats the problem i bet

TL has sensors to determine the direction of the car and, in conjunction with the time of day, knows if the sun is blasting the passenger or the driver. For example if the car determines that the sun is shining on the passenger, it will probably blow less warm air at the passenger (assuming it's cold outside and you're in heater mode).

Anyone have an issue with the passenger side cc coming out warmer than the drivers side while out of dual cc mode? I put it on max cold auto and pass side is much warmer than the drivers.

I had a major problem with my dual climate control...the driver's side would be blowing out hot air while the passenger's was blowing out cold. This was when the car had less than 5000 miles on it. Turns out the mixer baffle or motor was bad and needed to be replaced (under warranty). Might want to get yours checked...

Ive seen with vehicles without climate control that the air temp from the drivers vents is warmer than the passengers, the cause is the system has low refrigerent pressures. But i have never seen or heard of anything that you are describing.

In my new 2007 TLS, i wish the fan speed setting could go even lower or quieter....seems too loud for a luxury sport car...
