Bad feedback when turning gain up on AMP

I have an 07 TL w/ navi. i installed an aftermarket amp and sub, took the speaker level inputs from the factory subwoofer wires and whenever i attempt to turn the gain up on the amp i get a horrible loud feedback. i have previously used this same exact amp so there is no reason it would be the amp, it is a POLK pa880
i cant for the life of me figure out why i am getting this noise.
i have searched the forum but all the feedback noise i have found is related to the type S.
thanks in advance for any help

Try unplugging the ANC unit behind the center channel speaker.

It's probably the exact issue I was having yesterday. Pop the rear upper deck off, unbolt the stock sub, un clip it and remove it, then see if you still have a problem.

Well i unplugged the factory sub and it did nothing. Haven't removed it but that shouldn't have anything to do with it.

I had the same problem w/ my '08 TL-S when I installed an aftermarket sub & amp. That feedback was unbearably deafening and annoying!!

The shop I had it installed at had no idea what to do and luckily I found this video on YouTube that gave us the solution to the problem.

There should be 2 ANCs in the car, one in the front by the lights near your sunroof controls and one in the rear light, not the central dome light. Unplug them both and you should be fine.

Hope that helps out man.

Here's a link to the video on YouTube:

Shit. Just re-read your post and I must have skipped over the part where you said that you don't have a Type S. Sorry man, hope you find the solution!!
