All audio plays fine with exception of background noise in speakers. Sounds like it could be a ground issue. Most noticeable with volume set to less than 5. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot and correct?

 

anything from bad amp if you're all stock
to a multitude of possible interferences for after-market components

you haven't posted anything specific, so going on the assumption of all stock, look around there were a few posts here about bad stock amps

if the noise is in all the speakers it's either the amp or the HU
if in some but not others it may be wiring going bad as well

 

I agree. if your totally stock and this is a new sound. I would bet the OEM amp is goin bad.

 

Is their a cost effective way to repair the amp? I remember seeing a thread where some members replaced the OEM amp with a RF unit and a harness developed by one of the forum members...

 

Thats a piece of crap! And not cost effective. Just get a real amp
