Back-up Camera Grid

How can I get the back-up camera proximity grid that comes on the '09 TL on my '08 TL-S?
Is there a software upgrade/patch?

you would have to get an aftermarket camera or glue on a sticker onto the camera lense... No software updates or anything of the sort for that.

lol

it would have to have incredibly thin lines, and then it still wouldnt work because no camera's focal length can focus on something that close (or in this case, ON) the lens.

If you did this, the lines would just be a heavy blur and you won't even see it.

The only way I could see this happening is if someone were to build a box that took the signal from the camera added the grid before sending it to the nav.

ummm Good luck with that...

Is the grid part of the camera output to the screen or is it a separate overlay projected onto the screen by the software package?

If part of the camera system, would replacing the '08 camera with an '09 provide the desired result?

its added by the navi hard drive system since in the new TL if you switch to reverse fast enough they won't appear...

I've got the solution - overhead projector clear overlay with vinyl print gridlines for the Nav screen. I'm the man....

epic fail

so you drive with that clear slide over your navi? or you must apply it every time you park? Do you work for the U.S. gov't?
