Question Back again with HFL Question

After several tries and then failures or short term fixes, I decided to buy an OEM HFL Module. Once installed, are there any programming instructions to get it to link up with my regular Bluetooth phone? I have installed and reinstalled the new unit. Not linking up. No icon on the dashboard screen coming up. Tried to search out Bluetooth phone through Setup Phone command. Nothing.

C'mon people and give me another good dose of advice on how to get this working properly. Don't want to have to go to the dealership. Thanks in advance.

What phone model do you have?

What year and Acura model do you have?

Is the phone on the approved list for the HFL for your Acura?

Phone is an old Motorola Razr M (I know I should retire it but it still gets the job done) in a SSM 2005 TL Auto Navi. Bought the car new and have 153K on the odo. HFL worked fine until April 2015. Got the baking trick to work the second time I tried, but that was a temp fix for a month. Baking did not work the third or fourth time. Now I have a brand new OEM unit installed. Any help would be appreciated.

Back again with HFL Question

Try and disconnect your battery for a few minutes and reconnecting.

I would also try pairing with another phone to rule out you getting a bad HFL.

OK, the phone is compatible, so..

...This.

Get your passcode card for the radio and Navi codes.

I'd disconnect the battery for thirty minutes or so-- just in case the HFL delay box is locking up the HFL-- before reconnecting and trying to pair the phone to the HFL.

Normally, an HFL swap-out doesn't require any programming-- one just has to load the phone's contact list numbers into the HFL once it works.

G/L.
