I'm using a P.I.E aux input from http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piehon03pcson.html
with the NAV bypas cable http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piehon03fmm1.html to enable an aux input for my TL, now my question is: do I have to remove the radio to connect the Nav bypass cable or is there an easier method?
I thought about using the NAV cable in the trunk that leads from the DVD to the HU but the connector is female and so is the bypass cable (I guess it's designed to plug directly into the HU) so If I could find a male/male coupler for this conector I could use that cable, which is much easier to access.
Any help would be appreciated.

You do not have to remove the radio to install.
I just install mine over 1 week ago (Blitzsafe) and even if my finger are above average in size, I did manage to install the connector without taking the radio out.
You will need to remove a bunch of panels to get to it though.
Remove the panel under the steering wheel.
Remove the rubber tray inside the middle console glove box and remove the 2 screws.
Remove the aluminium trim on each side of the radio (Plastic tools "SnapOn #UTS204"for this job will prevent damaging the Aluminium trim) be careful and work slowly.
Remove the 2 screws that are securing the rear part of the console (they are under the aluminium trim).
Remove the 4 screws to remove the trim covering the right side of the console near the accelerator pedal.
You should now be able to see the connector from the back.
Pre-bend the wire harness of the input adapter to form a "U" and insert in the opening on the left side of the radio and patiently align the connectors and using your free and , use a finger to push the connector in.
If I remember correctly, the locking tab on the connector has to be on top.
Then re-assemble.
Sorry I have no pictures and if you have the service manuals, be careful has there are errors in it (Missing Screws and retainers in the pictures & descriptions)
Best regards

FYI, it took me about 1 hour to do the job and I was extra careful and working slowly to find all the screws to be removed before I pried any panels off.
The plastic Trim tools Kit I recommend are the same ones used by the Dealers.
