IPOD Adaptor or Aux Input for Canadian 06 TL
As anyone installed one of the IPOD or auxilary input adapters for the 06 Canadian TL with Navi. The Canadian 06 TL does not have XM or SAT inputs so I'm not sure how devices like the DICE would work. If anyone has one installed, can you indicate what features work and what do not.
Thanks

I have an 06 with navi and got my ipod interface threw www.mp3yourcar.com I belive its made by Neo or something. I ordered the one for US navi cars but dont think I had to because it has a pig tail for another hook up maybe XM but im not sure. The unit works well the only thing I noticed is that one and awhile it will blank out for like a second when the ipod goes from charging to fully charged. This doesnt happen very often so not a real big concern. It hooks up to the CD changer port on the back of the radio so you can use the track buttons to change your songs as well as you keep full ipod control if you want to use it to serch for songs.

I still can use the CD function (I use it for all my dvd audio stuff now)and to switch back and forth you just press the CD button on the radio it will flip between CD and CD changer (Ipod). The radio will flip between CD and CD changer (Ipod) with the mode button on the wheel as well. The Neo unit also has a "aux" input incase you want to add XM or something.

AUX Input for 06 TL Navi
I don't have an ipod but I do have an mp3 player. Instead of burning DVD-A disks, I would like to use my mp3 player. Since my 06 TL cannot display text from an ipod (Canadian version TL) I would like to just install something that will give me an aux input. If it can display the track number on the navi screen that would be great. The units mentioned in this forum usually are for ipods and I'm thinking there should be something just for an aux input. Is there a unit out there that someone can recommend?

After reading tons of data in this forum, I'm thinking that I will get an Ipod so that I can control the ipod from the steering wheel controls and the capability to keep the ipod charged is a nice added feature. I know that a lot of posts indicated that I would require an XM input for text display but do any of the new adapters give any track information? The USA Spec PA11-HON2y indicates it will display track numbers but no text (better than nothing). From what I've read, even with navi there is no text display, correct?

Not sure on that one Fred ... my Dice R3 needs to be tapped into the XM to use text feature ... doesn't work with text feature any other way. Someone familiar with the Canadian set-up needs to chime in here
