Auto starter

This might be the wrong place to post this but here goes.

Its been freezing outside at 5am where i live in the morning and thats when i go to work, and i wanted to install a auto starter so it starts with just a press of a button, but my friend said that my alarm only has a certain amount of channals and it wont work with the TL's stock alarm system. is this true? or can i find a easy and cheap way to do all this? without getting a new alarm system
