Audison bit 10
Audison bit 10
Has anyone ever had any experience with this sound processor I just bought it today.. I am currently running the audio matrix lc7i and I'm currently unhappy with the sound quality of my system... I am running alpine type x components and type r rears with an alpine mrx- f35 4 channel... We tapped in post amp and per amp and I'm either getting feed back or I'm losing quality of sound.. I can't remember if it was per or post amp how it was set up but it sounded amazing other then the engine noise/white noise everyone talks about so we switched it and now I lost sound quality but got rid of the annoying noise.. So I was told I needed a sound processor and was told this one was really good and got a great deal on this audison bit 10 to fix all my issues I've been having.. Will this fix it or am I missing something..

Lol... I no nothing but pick up a jl rlc ld and connect it preamp then connect the Audison unit to the fixed outs of that.
Edit: Does that unit accept a balanced differential signal? If not pick up the JL unit.

^^^^^^^True.
Pre amp is the way to go. I'm not sure if you would need a line driver with the Bit 10 or not, but I would definitely try it without first so you don't waste $50. Balanced differential is not necessary with these cars so don't worry about that.
Is there a reason you went with the Bit 10 and not the Bit One? You have good equipment, but a bad tune can make it sound bad.
Pre amp is more succeptable to picking up noise during the run to the trunk or wherever the processor is. Post amp will have a white noise that's impossible to get rid of. I would go preamp and pay special attention to signal wire routing, keeping it away from any power wires.

The bit 10 is pretty much the best sound processor you can get. I have the origonal RF 3sixty post amp and have no issues with my system but the newer 3sixtys have more controls. My brother has a bit 10 in is lexus IS 350 and it blows the 3sixty away.
The Best ??? I'd say it one of the worst, in line with the RF, not much different.

My bad, he has the bit one.1. Maybe this unit is better than the bit 10? I'm not too familiar with them but he has all 3 versions of the rockford fosgate 360 and prefers the bit one.1. He has very very high end equipment.. I'll have to ask him why he likes it so much.
Well I guess it's a ill late now for me to change my mind cause its already paid for oh well I guess I'll be a test dummy and report back what I think of it anything is better then what I have right now.... I guess this is one of those topics slightly like coilovers...

It's all about perception and scale. On the bottom we have your setup. No tuning midrange coming from the doors, no filters, cheap equipment, etc, a step down from stock and a truly FUBAR setup. Next up is the stock system. I thought it sounded ok for stock. That is until I heard something better and I realize the stock setup had some serious shortcomings. As most of us have done we move on and upgrade and upgrade until its perfect to us. Along the way our standards go up and we realize what we once thought sounded good only sounded good because we didn't know any better; we had not heard anything better. The problem is some people get stuck at the beginning and refuse to learn or are not capable of learning more and advancing so they resort to childish tactics aimed at the more advanced people.
Steve! It looks like he is doing just fine! quality equipment, quality install. I need the use of my trunk so I did something different for my low end. A processor is better than no processor. And once again your posts have no value to the discussion. keep on trolling.
well guys to be honest with u the audison bit ten was simple to install and from where my system was at to where its at now its a night and day difference so im very happy with the sound quality and performance from this sound processor.. this is my first time ever using one so im not real firmiliar with other systems.. i was recommened this by a few of my buddy's that are using it and loved it so i took there word for it.. as far as my trunk i really never used it so losing all thats space wasnt a big deal to me..

Nothing wrong with the sub setup. If I didn't go IB, ported would be next on my list. As I get older I'm not willing to part with as much trunk space. At one time I had a bandpass with a pair of 12s in the TL.

Well I can tell u I would never pay what this amp or focal or bit retail for.. I'm just thankful that my buddy owns his own shop and I have some really good friends thats buy this expensive ass stuff then after they have it they off load it.. If u guys knew what I paid then u would understand why I splurged a lil.. There lose my gain..
Now, I believe there are many on here that have taken our advice and ended up very pleased....in fact, I haven't had one complaint. I have had 20 years of competition SQ car audio experience, including building a very difficult car into placing at world finals. I have published two extremely lengthy comparison testes in the past 3 years which have further been referenced by manufacturers, while building countless systems for VERY happy customers.
Please tell me what you have done? lol (since now you think putting that behind a rude statement makes it okay to post)
I think he was referring to Stevie's (the Donkey) system... Stock mids with damper stuck to the cones, stock tweeters with tape over the center to cure the "harshness". Armor all on the tweeters and dash to help frequency response. All drivers including the sub running full range (well except for the tweeters with a cap for a highpass) because he's a "purist" and doesn't believe in filters. And after all of this nonsense he goes on to say his modded stock system with no processing sounds better than an Esotar setup and pretty much any of our setups.
In other words, I think he was agreeing with you.
On another note, I've got to make the time to hear your new ZR setup and of course the Esotar subs. The last time I heard your car I think you had the Ultimo and the Phass setup and that was also before the Matt R mods to the HU.

Dude, if you are going to bash me for whatever reason, as I have not debated you all that much......SPELL MY DAMN NAME RIGHT!!! NIEBUR3

Happy customer here... In fact, I think your predictions from our original conversation a couple years ago have been dead on in regards to my equipment changes.
Getting an F body to sound good should definitely be in your resume as well.
That is the car I was referencing that placed at World Finals. Thanks for the kind comments Matt. I'm glad you have been happy!
totally happy customer here as well!
And yes my comment was regarding steve doing the opposite of anything we have said and seeing exactly where that has gotten him. To his credit it is indeed the actual polar opposite......as far opposite as you could possibly have gone. so kudos for that!

Matt, Anytime we can get together, I'll make time for you, I'd still really like to sit and listen to your system too. Thanks Mark
