Hey everyone,

Just installed the above adapter in my '08 TL, and had a question about what y'all did in terms of settings on the actual iPod to maximize sound quality and performance, i.e., volume, EQ, etc. ly

I had the iPod's volume set to about 3/4 of the way up and the EQ set to Hip-Hop, but the sound was way too bass heavy and boomy, so obviously need to adjust. Curious what everyone else did to get the best output? I do have a complete custom JL Audio sound system in my TL (2 W3V3 10's, 6.5's in the front and back, etc.) so it's obviously much louder than stock, but I should still be able to adjust the iPod's settings to get the best sound out of this unit.

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

 

Keep your EQ on the iPod off. And if its plugged in through the dock connector on the ipod then that will be the only thing u can change. Volume on the iPod does not matter if its going through the dock connector.
