Audiovox SMT5600

Hey guys,

I just got the Audiovox SMT5600. I am able to pair it with the TL, but I don't get signal strength or battery on the dash. Just wanted to add this to the forum in case anyone is considering the phone.

The phone is great. Nice design, good software. Plus it works with the TL

Same goes for the MPx220. Since they are both MS based, I'm guess it's an MS thing.

Bryan,

I just bought the SMT5600 and can't get it to pair with my 2004 TL at all.
I would be happy with anything but the Acura 800 help line tells me it
shouldn't work. Do you really have it working with an 04 TL and what did
you do?

Thanks.......Bob

Bob,

I also have my SMT 5600 working fine with the TL. During pairing, after the car asks you to turn on bluetooth, set bluetooth to "discoverable". Then go to "menu" (at the bottom right), and choose "find device" (or something similar). Within a minute, the car and the phone found each other.

It's been working flawlessly for me. The only negative is that there is no signal strength or battery level on the MID. There is caller ID though, when a call comes.

ZON76,

Thank you! I did what you said and I'm in business!!!

Appreciate your quick response. The instructions weren't clear about it and when I called the Acura hotline they almost made me give up telling me it wouldn't work because it
was not an approved phone for them.
