My wife called me to say her 07 TL Type S radio volume is fixed & no matter what she does she can't turn the volume down. She lives in Houston & I'm in Va Beach, so I can't do anything to help right now.
She's pretty sure she hit a button someplace, but she doesn't know what.

I know it's kind of vague, but she needs my help. I searched for the last 30 minutes without finding an answer.

Any suggestions to what she did & how to fix it?

Does your wife have an iPod plugged into an iSimple, or is there another auxiliary device plugged into the audio?
If so, I'd suggest unplugging that device (which is usually the culprit for "radio does not work" complaints in the '04-'06 TL models).

If she is trying to turn down the volume with the controls on the steering wheel, she should also try the volume control on the Navi screen and the radio's volume control knob as well-- all three [should] independently control audio volume.

She can also try voice control for the radio volume if the other volume controls don't work.
